I can attest that this really works. My son was born 3 months early and we did the skin to skin contact and it made a significant difference. It was an amazing feeling to hold him for the first time. Matthew is now 13 months old and 24 pounds and doing well. Good luck to the parents and hope all is well. I've attached a picture of my son when he was 10 days old.

who ever was in that promo , hope your baby grows to be a healthy child....

My niece was born at 23 weeks and was in the same situation as your child, we were allowed to hold her as much as possible and at what ever time we were able to show up at the hospital to be with her. We would drive 4 hours each way and spend 16 hours with her a day during weekends for almost 4 months and when she came home she had a monitor that assessed her breathing for the better part of a year... This was 12 years ago this october, and thank god she is now a beautiful young lady.
