Opinions on Sandco Prerunners please...
I was looking at Alumi Craft until I started hearing some good things about Darren's prerunner. Better price point and from what I have seen, the car looks solid. I am really into running something that is properly designed and reliable. Thanks.

Not looking for any bashing, just some feedback on the car would be great. Thanks.

No response yet. Just wondering if I should be posting in a different forum.

I can tell you first hand, that Darren is the nicest guy you could ever deal with and always has tooooooooooo much work and a overly packed shop, if that tell you anything. On the vehicles, it is my opinion, they are great and if anything, are overbuilt. And that is a good thing.

Does anyone have an opinion on this fabricators work? Or are you still trying to figure out who Jacque cousteau is? Can I have some input here? Just in case it was the cousteau reference, I changed my name. Thanks.

Sorry, didn't see your post. Would have held back on the tirade. I appreciate the feedback bcause I am seriously considering having the guy build me a car. The only way to get beyond the "pitch" (which he hasn't done) is to hear it from the community. Any other comments on his work/car would be greatly appreciated.

I'll second that. Darren has been around for just about 10 years now. His cars are built stout, and I've never seen/ heard anything negative about them. The fact that he's a nice guy, and always has a packed shop says enough itself. He won't give you a "pitch", either you like the car or you don't.

I'm actually leasing a shop a few doors down from him. Nice guy. Well built cars. One car was in the shop that just rolled. All it needs is some minor work needed to repair it, new light bar, and some new panels.

Turns out Jacque Cousteau is dead. Didn't want to confuse anybody. Hey, thanks for the input. Also, just got back from the AZ sandports show, just to kind of see what's being built out there. Not much turns out. The racer cars look decent. Terrible herbst had a racer sand car with a gm big block twin turbo. 1,300 hp. They sure like their Rhino's out there.
