Parker??
I'm new to this sport and I want to get involved in off road racing. My business partner and I want to start our own off road shop and build either a class 1 or class 10 buggy to race and eventually race in Baja. Would the Parker race be a good event to attend to meet people and get an idea of what off road racing is all about? Also does anyone who is attending need a additions set of hands? We want to get a semi behind the scenes and more hands on look at off road racing.

Re: Parker??
Go to Parker on Friday for Contingency, this will give you plenty of time to see everybodys cars and talk with the team people that prepare and race the cars.

Re: Parker??
Plan on either camping or staying in Havasu. There are NO rooms in Parker... This thing can fill your weekend !! Thursday is qualifing, Friday-Contingency, Saturday- Race, Sunday-Awards... Best of Luck to you..

Originaly I was just planing on coming out for the race on Saturday. Should I come out for the whole thing? Is it worth it since I'm not racing or with any team?

If you are new to the sport, and looking to make some industry connections, Friday Contingcy is an excellent place to make those initial contacts. The race is just the icing on the cake !!

You will meet more people, get the time to talk with them and see the cars at contingency.

Re: Parker??
Definately go to tech on Friday. The teams usually have a clear head and time to talk. Come race day everyone is focused on where their car is and how it's doing so you might get in the way.

I would consider giving you a high paying job and a big house, but you would have to change your name to Wildcat. Bear-Down.
