    light for you egg?

Anyone out there every try one of these "lead dog" helmet lights. I realize the outter shell might not be the strongest thing, but the concept I like....price isn't that harsh either

Looks pretty ugly to me. But for that cost, it's not bad. I'm not sure if wiring it to the bike/quad is a good thing. I guess the good thing would be that you don't have to carry a battery pack. The bad thing would be if the bike/quad breaks you will no longer have a light to be able to fix whatever proble you have or go look for help. It's good to see something different.

That is INSANE, too much money and having it hooked into your system is not a good idea. If you get ejected, you rip out wires. Good friend used something like this CLICK HERE for his ironman baja 1000 run. Works on batteries and he mounted it to his visor, worked great.

I agree! I run two of the head hunter units on my helmet even with lights on the quad. Nothing better than being able to see EVERYTHING at night. And they really do last 4 hours!

Wait a sec, he's not talking about using this as a main light system is he? I was under the impression this was in addition to a BajaDesign/etc. setup.

I would never want to be without ligh if i fell off of the quad and damaged it, and needed to fix it. You need to be able to see to fix something.

    Re: light for you egg?

I think he was talking in addition to. The light is a brake light as well. It connects to the brake light mount so when you lock em up, the light on top of your head comes on just like a vehicle third brake light.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing.....Too quick with the delete button. Half these posts should be deleted. I happen to agree with Patty`s assessment. If you want one of those helmet style set ups. The Niterider is the way to go.
However, that Leaddog setup is ok for riding around it looks like. Just make sure you have a "quick disconnect" in case you fall.
