Re: When will we see Parker 425 on TV???????
It sounded like it will be on the Outdoor Channel. I know there was talk before Parker about Speed and Pinned but we had to put an Outdoor Channel sticker on our car. I asked the contingency girl if they were going to air it and she said yes.

Where were the Pinned TV camera crew shooting? Did they have a chopper? I was all up and down Shea Rd. and never once saw a camera crew guy. I think they need to buy footage from RACE DAY and PARADIGM and WICKED GRAVITY VIDEO and any other cool small independent video producers!!!! We all got killer video!

Re: When will we see Parker 425 on TV???????
Believe pinned had 8 in car cameras, 1 chopper, and ground crew shooting the race.
presently it wont air till fall...the want to run all the races one right after another each week to increase following, instead of 2 mos between each airing.

I talked to Fred from Pinned Thurs. and he said they were filming at qualifying and they also were filming from a helicopter during the race. I believe jjordan has it right about when it will air. Pinned was a sub-contractor for OLN.

Re: When will we see Parker 425 on TV???????
Pinned was on the ground from Wednesday night through Sunday morning filming qualifying, contingency and the race on Saturday. On race day, they had a camera man flying in a red R44 along with no less than 7 on course camera operators and a crew covering the start and finish. They also had 10 on-board cameras in vehicles during the race and 2 during qualifying.
As far as when the BITD show for the Parker race will be aired on TV... that information has not yet been released.

New TV Package Offered for 2008
Best In The Desert is proud to announce we have a new and exciting TV package offered for 2008. We are on a new network, a new production company, a new producer, director and executive producer. Click on "read more" for more details and to find out how you and your sponsors can be included in this great 2008 TV show.
Hello, Racers:
We have an exciting new television package for 2008 including a new network, a new production company, a new producer, director and executive producer.
Our new producer has extensive experience with both SPEED and ESPN and we’re delighted to have him on board. Many of you will know him as one of the top producer/directors in off-road racing over the past decade.
Beginning with the Parker “425,” Best in the Desert events will be televised with unprecedented coverage featuring fourteen cameras and a complete crew complement, many of whom have major network experience. The entire season will be tape delayed and broadcast as a consistent weekly series (most likely from September through December, pending contract details). The Best in the Desert broadcast is scheduled to be in 21 million homes by year’s end.
Two programs will be drawn from each race. A one-hour show will be dedicated to the cars, with another one-hour show reserved for the trucks at each event.
Each program will give a solid overview of the event while highlighting a few selected race teams. The broadcast will follow the featured teams, tell the story of their race and, of course, recognize their sponsors. To become one of the highlighted teams in an upcoming broadcast, call the executive producer at (317-590-3495).
On-board cameras are also available this season with guaranteed airtime within the show. Nearly half of our on-board cameras were scooped up before the season began, so please call quickly if you would like an on-board camera in an upcoming race (317-590-3495). Please have dash decals ready so we can help you promote your sponsors.
The broadcast team is anxious to work with each of you and we’re looking forward to a great season. See you at Parker!
Best,
Stephen Cox

Re: When will we see Parker 425 on TV???????
Appreciate all the interest. Sopwith Motorsports and Stephen Cox have a robust plan for tv this year. As far as the 425 the Pinned crews came home with over 40 hours of tape and have been working round the clock on the trailer. As we progress with our relationship with Sopwith and BITD you can expect top of the line race trailers from the BITD events a couple of days after the race. We are currently deploying over 10 incar systems, 3 color units, 7 course crews, a helo and one camera phone operator. Trailer up tonight! Hope you enjoy!
