1963 VW bug
im looking at a 1963 VW bug. it is all stock. he says the motor runs fine along with the tranny. the bug has no brakes. it has a dual port 1600, swing axle rear end and a link pin front end. he has a spare trans axle and a bus tranny he would throw in with the deal. he also has 2 extra front ends for it. it has been sitting in his backyard for about a year an a half. i dont really know much about VW or VW value...
so how much is it worth about??

Re: 1963 VW bug
Back in 1976 I picked up the same thing for $50 and was told by my dad if you can get it running it is yours. These days I'd offer $500 and see if he takes it. Inflation

Re: 1963 VW bug
Go to samba.com...check out prices there. They only have about 50 for sale there. $500 for a running bug with everything there isn't bad. Factor in if there are tags for it, or whether you have to go fishing for a title.
