I don't care if he wins the weakened IRL/Champ car title, if he leaves a looser it will haunt him, more so than any baggage he carries now, and make a lot of nascar folk happy...Right now he really pizzes them off and I like that.

Weakened title, it is stronger then it has ever been since it's inception. And if RG does leave, it will be because nascar gave him no choice financially by screwing with his ponits. It will be yet another dent in the Nascar armour as they begin their steady fall back to being just another series. RG leaving Nascar for the IRL would be big news, but not for the reasons you stated. RG would generate enough news about Nascar and be able to flame them all he wanted and tell the millions of frustrated fans just how corrupt that governing body really is. If the Senate can investigate the NFL and MLB, they should certianly be investigating Nascar.

Nascar needs Robby Gordon alot more then Robby Gordon needs Nascar. Robby could go and build teams in the IRL, ALMS, SCORE and Dakar to build his power house. In 3 years from now, Nascar and the IRL will be on an even keel.
