Re: Class 1 car on a road course? I saw it...
Thanks for posting. One of my teammates, Jim Malinowski, who also has a couple pavement racercars, was out there trying to have a little fun and try and diagnosis a driveability issue we have with the Coyote.
He said the Baja T/A's in front don't grip pavement as well as the projects.
Wonder why?
Hey! You kids!! Get OFF my driveway!!! If you can't go away happy, just go away!

he wasnt leading anything, more like holding everyone up. had a very hard time getting around the track. only goes about 1/3 the speed of the slowest car on the track. Just not built for that kind of track, but was cool to see. I hope it helped them fix their motor issues.
Hey Scott, it was a ProAutosport event. HP driving classes and three race groups, you qualified for each group based on your speed. we have a customer that we prep and provide an arrive and drive program for a NASCAR road course car so we where there supporting the car and also as a vendor. My car should be ready soon, cant wait to run. These cars are scary fast. Brandon our parts guy got so excited he paid the $100 and ran his car in the begginer group and had a ton of fun. he has a bone stock 350Z.
This weekend is a similar event at PIR. should be about 250 cars. many different classes, everything from tuner type cars to full blown race cars. cars will range from $5000 - $300,000. These are fun events for weekends you cant spend in the desert. Come on out Scott, we will be there as a vendor, Fri-Sun. admission is FREE to everyone.
Who knows, maybe you will get to see a one car testing again.

To add a little to what Tim said
The event is run by www.ClubRacingAZ.com and they have programs for all levels of driver from total rook to racer and an education ladder to move you up. No racecar is needed you can start the HPDE (High Performance Driver Education) program with stock street rides, a few months ago a guy ran a stock tacoma out there.
This weekends event is the largest they have done running Fri-Sun and including NASA AZ, BMW club, Porsche Club and others.

You don't need a race car to learn how to hit an apex or proper braking techniques.
