    Crossing the Border

What is needed? I believe passports are not required, am I correct? Will a school issued photo ID and a birth certificate do the job? Anything that I should know? Thanks!

    Re: Crossing the Border

Thanks, my next question would if the ID has to be government issued, when we I went on a cruise over the summer they accepted a school ID. Will a school ID still be sufficient? Also, will a copy of the birth certificate work? IS there a government ID that can be obtained within 2 days?
    Thanks again

A copy of you your birth cert and a gov issued ID is all you need. Not sure a school ID is enough...dont you have a driver license?

Not for a month, can anything be obtained within a few days, like in time for San Felipe?

I will have my permit for the next trip but someone who has done it told that a high school ID and birth certificate copy will work. A state ID takes up to 60 days to process.
The race is in 5 days, oops.

Wow, I always thought with a School photo ID and a Birth Certificate with $7 bucks cash you could walk in get a State ID card and walk out in 10 minutes give or take how busy they are.....maybe it is just AZ where it is like that?!?!?!?

Anyways Best of Luck and just make sure whatever you do, it will get you back across the border....LOL

Crossed the border yesterday with just a drivers license they asked if i had my birth cert. told him no he said it would just make thing faster crossing less questions. He said they cant fine you or hold you anybody over 18 they run your ID. and that took us about 10 min. with that being said the border crossing is taking longer it took us over 2 1/2 hours.
