    San Felipe, what's your story?

San Felipe was AWESOME! Cops were great, if you did get pulled over it resulted in a verbal warning and a warm smile. Had an absolute blast! The people were so happy to see us and genuinely warm. The Baja hospitality and warmth from the locals was over the top!

Border inspection to get into Mexico was a breeze. We had a trailer FULL of Yokohama tires. We obviously were WAY over the limit. The Mexico customs guys pulled us over and counted the tires. They talked for a second and then asked us if we were going to San Felipe. We replied yes, they smiled waved us on and told us to have a great time.
I couldn't believe it, God and Mexico were both smiling on stupid gringo's that's for sure!

Friday goes down as one of the best days of my whole life. We took the #16 TT out for testing with Rick Geiser and his guys. We trailered the truck out to KM 150 and unloaded it. Pab walks by me and says...."You better have taken your heart medicine this morning"
Next thing I know Blue Bear is giving me his helmet and strapping me in the 16 truck right beside the main man Ricky G. who is behind the wheel.

All I can say is I had no idea how talented those guys that drive those things are. Man oh man...I had to apologize to Rick for giggling and squealing like a little kid into the intercom. I own an Alumicraft dual sport that is pretty fun in the desert........NOTHING compares to one of those Geiser Brothers trucks tearing the desert to pieces. I have NEVER been in anything so angry and bent on destroying the terrain!

I can confidently tell you that the number 16 Yokohama, Alloy, Metal Mulisha Trophy truck has NO PROBLEM running at 120 MPH! If you know the area I'm talking about out around KM 150 then you also know that truck is amazing....Thanks Rick and Pab for giving me a Make-a-Wish day. I will never forget that day.

I really wish that all the races could start from San Felipe. I will be praying that Ensenada is just as welcoming and safe in May and June.

    See you donkeys down there!

PS...ooohhh Ya! I'm available for any Trophy Trucks who might need a test co-pilot. I have a VERY extensive resume. I have done at least 15 miles.....
    Good Grief
