Re: Building an Old School Prerunner
It looks like you have quite a project there, and Good Luck. But I was wondering why are you not putting in a roll cage, with down bars in the rear, to attach the shocks to ? It would seem to me that the rear shock bed cage, is a fairly common "new school" set-up today.

Re: Building an Old School Prerunner
it appears you are using seemed tube. if so, try to put the seem on the inside of the bends. looks like its going to be a fun project.

Re: Building an Old School Prerunner
Your truck looks awesome man! Please accept my apologies for asking a newbie question, but why do you have the front of the bedcage bolted to the leaf spring mounts instead of to the frame like in the rear? Once again, congrats on the new truck!

Re: Building an Old School Prerunner
Are those twin tube white shocks just for mockup or are you going to actually use them? If you want old school with some performance potential I can probably come up with some vintage Bilstein's to fit the bill.
Emulsion shocks are like cooking steak in the microwave.
