    Moto GP thread

    Well, who's into MOTOGP?

Looks like Hopkins might do alright on the Kawi this year and Thats surprising to me.
Support Hopkins he's from San Diego.

I was stoked when he was with suzuki since I had one and I'm from SD and... he does sick wheelies.

    Re: Moto GP thread

Hopper ought to hop back over the pond and back into AMA racing. He is nowhere near the caliber it takes to win in GP racing. If you look to the past, look at all the truly great riders who came from the US and were really competitive, basically right from the outset. Many were on lousy bikes to boot, and yet they found a way to win. The ONLY rider in AMA who could possibly win in GP is Ben Spies. There are no US riders in the series who are up to the task, and that includes Nick Hayden. He has the untold might of HRC behind him, and he has done very little to prove his mettle. I doubt Hopkins will have a job much longer with his finishing positions, and I would put good money on Hayden being bounced onto a satellite team next year if he does not find a way to win, period. Any way you slice it, these guys can't fill Kevin Schwantz' jockstrap even half way. Jorge Lorenzo is a true racer, and he has shown exactly how a rider should put the hammer down when they reach the motoGP class.
