I am not talking about this race. And even still only a couple cars were passing me this time when I was driving the car 50% lol

There is a huge difference in the car when you don't care about sticking the car the car in a marginal slot hoping THE OTHER GUY backs off... There is a lot of dicks out there. I guess that other 115 cars out there that were tring to win a 24 hour race in the first 4 hours were stupid. You HAVE to keep your head in the game for 24 hours. It's tuff.

Yep it was funny cause you were bitching about the car right away and then I was giving ya crap for it and then as soon as I got in the car I was bitching about it hahahahah. Sucks when ya know what the car is capable of doing and you cant do it cause you dont wanna blow it up when its running hot lol

It's been many moons since Loomis raced and the cars are much faster, the drivers are much better and there is 50 more per race. You can give 5 seconds a lap to the leaders and still top 5 it. You can run 5 seconds a lap faster and assume all that risk only to give it up in ONE pit stop. 300 laps @ 5 seconds a lap is 1500 seconds @2:20 a lap is only 8 laps.

You HAVE to run the pace but you don't need to be the fastest.

Ya I agree the cars are MUCH faster now than a couple years ago. And yes staying on the track will win the race. Look at AGM for example. They had about 30-40min of downtime fixing their fuel cell, they dropped all the way down to 95th place, they were back upto 12th place with a few hours to go before they got 3 black flags that put them back.

Our team did a hell of a good job with getting only 1 black flag at about hour 20. I was impressed with that!

We were off the track for over 5.5 hours and still beat 80 cars.

There was 150+ cars when I last raced... Granted only 20-30% were "fast" cars. I see the fastest cars are STILL the fastest cars... so not much has changed other than the overall percentage of fast cars.

You are proving the same point we tried to make 2 years ago Scott. Don't need to be the fastest, just fast and zero down time.

The 24 hour race way about 50% harder than a normal one too cause ANY downtime and your losing laps. There is no "overnight" to fix stuff on the car in between the Sat and Sun sessions lol.

Seems too much like work, and not enough fun. I'll stick the the 24 ours of racin and drinkin plan. haha
