I have had A LOT of "Friends" take their own life. And every last one of them had the same thing in common. They all had a very selfish side to them.

Yep all it does is hurt the people around them, I know cause my grandpa did that. I have no sympathy for people like that. Just my .02

I'd rather see it used than sit, but I'd rather even more to see it preserved than used and abused.... What mike & Mike said makes sense too.

As far as suicide, the last call I was on Thurs night was just that- I've seen far too many people take their own lives and the cries of family when they're told they've lost a loved one is haunting. Not trying to play it up - its just that's the best adjective I can come up with.

I've lost a close friend to suicide and a few more friends/acquaintances... I know it sounds cliche, but it's the one mistake that you don't get to learn from and that your friends and family have to deal with forever.

The most horrible thing about anyone commiting suicide is that everyone they know will wonder for the rest of their life if they could have made a difference.

Don't ever take anyone for granted, you never know when their or your own time will be.

Im sure he had his own demons. unfortunately they won it seems. Selfish, maybe... but i dont see a point in judging him now. I would rather celebrate the man than fault him for this one, all be it glaring, reason...

It is my hope he will be celebrated. His life was and is more important than his death...

Well said,I have been to 5 funerals in 6 months and 2 of them were teenage suicides that were so unesesary,you must remember all that was good and push forward
