Thanks... Yes it seems we kill them after 6 or so hours. We have the normal pulley on the Alt. We run the single wire alt. Could that be the issue?

Single wire self exciting suck. They don't sense the voltage properly and have a tendinacy to overcharge. See if you can add a voltage sense wire, if you can, run it to the positive on the battery. I can't remember if 1 or 2 on the plug is voltage sense, the other is exite/charge light which needs to go to IGN switch.

Just got back from 6 days on the road racing sprint cars,completely destroyed 2 chassis and got in a rearender in the new Toter last night and made a Lexus look like a smart car/gremlin....FML
