Craig do you know what you guys finishing time was? I am interested to see how it would have done in TT. Any issues/downtime?

The only reason this class was created was to get away from $50,000 motors. The class will be huge next year

Ya, but this class is a great pro class for some of the 1450 guys to enter IMO.

Craig, same truck, way less motor, and it finishes. Did they just drive 80-90% of what they did with a budget TT motor?

Whelchel & I did entire race. We were on it entire time. Our TT engines were always way down on power. Ls3 compared to them is only down a bit. Biggest thing about our finish is proving to Casey the speeds and overall times they're capable of. I know there will be a huge range of trucks & drivers, but we should start 2-3 classes ahead. We had to start behind the 5 opens, 12 cars, 7200's, 10 cars. 10 cars would be the larger debate for positions to most I'm sure.

I just think if all 6100's have. Ls3 or ford 5.0 they have much better odds at beating the same truck in 7200 with a legal V-6, so it would only make sense to start ahead of them.

Down on power to your competition, but much more power than the LS3. So are you not pushing the LS3 as hard to make it live? See what I'm getting at?

Lets say you had enough HP with the TT engine to do 100 mph through a rough section. Now you only have enough power to hit that same section at 80mph. You have the throttle pinned at 100% in either case and the weight of the truck hasn't changed, so the chassis and suspension is seeing less abuse at the slower speed, but the engine is still being pushed equally as hard, so what made it live now?

This is what I'm trying to understand.

Because its using more "stock" type parts and not trying to get more power out of something than it makes....the biggest problem was the TYPE of engine Camburg was using before, that LS-X stuff is not worked out and no other TT's are running that stuff. If they would have have a Patton or Kroyer in the truck it would have won races with JW driving it.

Right... Jerry always talks about an 8 stack injection system is what he was missing. The fact is RG don't run an 8 stack he made his own efi from a cup manifold, 1400+cfm T-body and a motec controller. What Jerry was missing on that TT was the massive heads and a bottom end that will allow for 13.5++:1 compression.

It's a budget TT class that's all. What would someone expect with a basically open truck class? I'm this time next year the will be a huge variety of trucks just like 7200.
I heard from several people that the front bumper was used a lot and some unhappy people at the finish
