forced induction or not?
i talked to bitd a couple weeks ago and they okayed me on the forced induction on my 7200 but i read a couple days ago that there was no forced induction allowed? just wondering if anyone knows as of right for sure what the rule is and if it is solid yet. the reason i ask is i have a 2jz sitting in the garage and if forced induction is allowed i will use that motor otherwise i will have to come up with something else

Re: forced induction or not?
Somebody was bitter Giordanos 260hp supercharged tacoma motor beat them at Parker...they bitched at Casey and Casey said no more superchargers. Only takes 1 bad apple to ruin the bunch.
Best part is, the 210 hp motor beat most of the class at Terribles town...V2R will be even better as a Ford for Giordano.

yeah me and giordano have know eachother for a little while and i was going to help build is supercharged engine at one time, just trying to figure out an engine i can build that is not a ford and i dont want to spend 20gs on a 3.4 that only puts out 300hp

So what if you were to run a cummins 5.9liter turbo diesel? 6cyl w/turbo is this legal in the class?

Great engine makes tons of HP and Torque but would be quite heavy for the application

But within the limitations of the class (6cl), the power (and/or torque) to weight could be pumped with less $? Also consider fuel economy and pit stop frequency, what if you eliminated 1-2 pits at V2R with equivalent performance? Maybe fuel expense comes into play for some teams?
