Insurance for Race cars/pre-runners in Baja

I'm having trouble finding anyone to insure my off road vehicle while in baja. It is a California licensed "green sticker" vehicle (4 seat desert car). I have tried several Mexican insurance places as well as Alex Patterson on this site (highly recommended) and can't find anyone to insure my vehicle. My question is: What do you guys do in regards to insuring your pre-runners/race cars? Do you carry insurance at all in baja? I have gone down to baja before with my car and I could insure it for the legal aspects to get me out of trouble, but I can't get full coverage on it - I'm concerned with the event of loss (fire, theft, etc.) Any recomendations???
