    Light Bar Material

What size diameter and wall thickness would be good for running 4 hella's on a light bar? I don't want anything too bulky, looking at making it from either .75 or 1.0 tubing, just not sure on the thickness. Any help here is appreciated.

1-1/2" on the bottom where the mounts get welded and 1" over the top and in between each light will work just fine. Dont forget to add the neat little electric actuator so you can adjust your lights midrun.

Also, you can get nice little precut mount for the balasts, they're cheap, look good and make the project much quicker, I know that Racer Offroad has them, I'm sure you can find them most places that sell tabs and such. Good Luck with your project.

I would say 1.25" x .095 or .120" on the lower main tube and 1" x .095" for the rest. And then kartek sells some tabs for the 4000s that work out pretty nice. About $5 a piece.

Sorry its been awhile. I dont remember the the actual name of the actuator but everyone that can afford it has it on their car. Look at some TTs almost all of them have it. Basicaly it will adjust your lights up and down with a flick of a switch while your driving. And they can be tucked down behind the roof if you drive that particular car. I dont have that kind of roof so I dont use it. Check at KARTEK,MCKENZIES, BUTCH'S SPEEDSHOP, i'm sure they got them.
