    TRX 450 counter balance shaft???

I blew up the counter shaft bearing and when I replaced it I realized that the counter weights probibly have to be clocked at a certain direction. I imagin it has to be set down when the piston is top dead center but Im not for sure. Can anyone confirm?
    Thanks in advance!

Re: TRX 450 counter balance shaft???

Under the clutch side cover, on the counter balancer gear there should be two dots, and on the crankshaft gear there should be one dot. Align the gears so the single dot is in the middle of the two dots. The gears on the crankshaft and the balancer are keyed so they can only go on one way. This is how it is for the 05 and earlier, I would think the 06 and newer are the same.
