    Tacoma 6 lug spindles?

Camburgalar came out with a race suspension for the tacoma a few months ago, but are there any other options for an 01 tacoma 6 lug? i know allied motorsports has a spindle for the newer model tacoma. ESB Fabrications used to make the sickest tacoma suspension, but as we all know they went under a few years ago. I would just make some myself, but it would take too long and i dont have jigs/ measurements, etc... anyone know of a replacement for my easily bend/breakable stock spindles?

thx for the reply. I've never seen uniballs so big! (lol) that suspension looks beefy!! obviously there wouldnt be any testing done on the susp. if mine would be the first one, but its a definite plus you have a solidworks model. can you cycle the susp. in solidworks? do you have the application to see stresses on a assembly? i think its called cosmos? I'm interested though. PM me.

Stock Tacoma spindles are forged, you can add some plate and maybe a couple pieces of tubing in a few key areas and make them really strong. It's what we have done on our 7sx Tacoma and class 3 FJ Cruiser and they work great. Also what we will do on the next 7sx Tacoma.

That looks really really strong.... Have you had test runs on it...?

Have you ever thought of using Total Chaos?

BajaFand- about welding on any cast metal, cast aluminum, cast steel, cast iron... i have learned in school that you must preheat the cast metal to exactly the right temp., in order for the weld to penetrate it. And if you dont get the right penetration, which is difficult to know unless you x-ray the part which is done all the time in the airspace industry, the weld will break apart from the cast material...leaving me where i was in the first place: an unreliable spindle that can bend or break.

BIGRONDOG- about total chaos making an aftermarket spindle for the '01 tacoma...unless you know something I don't, they dont make one.

    Re: Tacoma 6 lug spindles?

Haha, thanks Jesse. Like I said, all stock Toyota spindles are Forged and have always been as far as I know. So you can weld to them. Yes, Total Chaos is making a fabricated 3.5" lift spindle for 2WD Tacoma Prerunner's. They are very nice, but don't work with 4WD.

Ok, i did some more research into the spindle material thing, and I stand corrected, you're right bajafand they are forged not cast. I still feel uneasy about welding to them though... and as we all know you gotta have faith in your equipment when you're wide open in the desert. I still havent found total chaos' spindle for a 2001 tacoma prerunner, do you have the link? maybe i'm not looking hard enough. thanks
