Mods can you make a sticky?
I am respectfully requesting a sticky to user: Chaplin's new topic in the whatever thread that will help us remember things a little more important to racing. I realize it is religious in nature but if some are not happy, they are not forced to read it - I think though that Chappy is deserving of a point to help deliver his message -
Please make it so -
Sincerely
Motorsports Safety Solutions

Re: Mods can you make a sticky?
My thoughts are that the post is not directly racing related. This is an offroad racing website and stickies generally are theme related or are pleads for help (Injured Racers etc.). Religion and politics are subjects that often divide people and often the root of wars. We have the "Whatever" section open for all kinds of open discussions on any topic and don't mind you taking full advantage of it.
The post in question is a very nice and encouraging post and we welcome more of them. I would not mind a religious daily "Thought for the day" type post. I actually subscribe to a religious themed Daily email list. However we feel by making it sticky it would make it a post that all of the rdc moderators stand behind, but unfortunately the post does not reflect the opinion of rdc.
We don't encourage "bumps" but if you guys really want to see it on top add worthy content to it and everyone will see it on page 1 or simply print it out and keep it next to your monitor.

Re: Mods can you make a sticky?
Thank you for the response sir - I respect your decison and justification. I am by far from religious and understand the desire to remain nuetral on a sensative topic. I simply respect that when I have an emergency on the track, Steve is the first person I look for to help control family and crew while we work on the situation. He is the calm during the storm and is there regardless of relegious or anti religious preferences. He is also just a great person to listen to you. He has been a positive influence on my life and believe that others will benefit from knowing this man, the words he shares and the Nimrod he will teach....Thank you for your response -
