    Attention Mdr Racers!!!!!

Larry McCallum, Robert Wagner and Kyle Bonillas have agreed to take over course marking at the Superstition Series, CRB meetings and run all check points.

We are going to split up the Oct. race and have 2 that day.

Race #1 will be a shorter and smoother race course for class's 900,1100,1300,550,1450 and on down. Race time will be at 7:00am sharp. 4 1/2hr time limit. After race we sweep the course and lengthen the race course for 2nd race.

Race #2 will consist of trophy trucks, 100, 800, 1200, 1600, 700 and 500. This race will be longer than race #1.

We will have 4 mandatory check points and 1 rover check on the course at all times with help from Brian. Also we 4 officials that will by ran by Bill Hammock. Jim and Patricia will have no say om course infractions or problems that happen on race day. The course will be marked the Thursday before the race(all volunteers are welcome). The GPS and map will be up after the course is marked.

Bonus money for 900 class and 1100 class $500 1st in class(must be 5 in class to qualify)

Also we will have a free BBQ for racers and volunteers before or after the race.

We have a lot of new faces to MDR but not to racing joining us to fix this series. Our goal is to bring back racers to the Superstition series. We will stop all of the sourse cutting by using video cameras out on the course. We are also going to have Double course markers and different color markers to inforce the 50ft on each side of the course rule.

If anyone wants any more info or wants to help feel free to call Larry at 760-427-4252.

    P.S
We are going to try a shorter and smoother course for the slower classes and the bonus money is a donation for you guys and girls.

The new racing format and protocol for dealing with course cutting sounds great!

Best of luck to you guys!

Start by doing what's necessary, then do what's possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible

KB, you might not want to work real hard on this, there was a better solution to this entire issue announced at BLM meeting last night.

    stay tuned for more info.

you will probably be better suited to be involved with the "new solution"

Hey Matt, when are you going to spill the beans on the info from the BLM meeting?

Is this still an MDR sanctioned event or a new Imperial Valley Sanctioning Body. Regardless, count us in to help. We loved the Supersititon Series and would ove to see a boost in entries, especially from Arizona that has very few desert races anymore.

Does the new solution include Barstow/Lucerne, or is something Jerry Zaiden and Dan Vance are working on.
