Th400 Art Carr shifter
OK so I got a full manual valed body th400, reverse pattern, with a art carr shifter. I hooked up the shifter and tried adjusting it every way you can. I can't get it to go all the way into the park lockout spot or down into 3rd gear. If I cut the end of the threaded rod 1/4" then I can get it into 3rd but park would be maybe half way up the slot towards park. Any suggestions on what I can do or have done to get them to work.

I had a similar problem, and the solution was a cable with longer travel.

Re: Th400 Art Carr shifter
yeah I ended up cutting the threaded rod about 1/4" so I could thread it in all the way to get 3rd gear, and shortened the arm on the transmission about 1/4", and it engages each gear perfectly now with the gates and everything.
