Update on Surprise Canyon Closure

UPDATE on the closure of Surprise Canyon near Death Valley......CORVA working hard for us AGAIN !! Please SUPPORT CORVA and all the organizations who are putting in lots of hard work FOR US !!

Just a update for those who care about this Surprise Canyon issue. Today, June 27, 2001, CORVA and the High Desert Multiple Use Coalition, Inc. filed it´s Notice of Appeal and Request for Stay pending a decision on the appeal. (Stay´s) halt an agency action until the matter is decided before the judge.

Next, we will be filing, within 30 days, a Statement of Reasons and a Request for Relief. This is the meat of the document and will require nearly 40 hours of work.

We feel confident about potential for success on this appeal and will keep those of you who care updated as necessary.
