    Jeff Ward still kickin' BUTT!!!!!

We just finished watching the XGames SuperMoto races last night on the DVR and WOW!!!! Wardy is still THE MAN!!!! At 47-years old he is still kickin' butt big time!!!! I think it is awesome that he is still doing so good out there on a bike. I wish he was still running in the IRL as I think he was fast and had a good future there too, he seems to do great at whatever he tries!!!

I was a HUGE Ward fan when I started going to SX races as a kid and I am glad to see him doing good still!

Re: Jeff Ward still kickin' BUTT!!!!!

    Way back in the day.......

His mechanic used to live in the same neighborhood I grew up in. This was when he was riding for Kawasaki (not sure who he rides for now, don't follow this stuff) .

Me and my other 10 year old buddy both had dirt bikes, and would bomb around the neighborhood and out in the hills. Jeff would be around frequently and we would always hit him up for stickers, old gear etc. He was a really nice guy. When my buddy snapped his clutch cable, we had to walk the bike back like 3 miles. That sucked! Well we walked that bike over to his mechanic, and he dropped what he was doing and hooked us up.

Just wanted to share since you are a fan Chris!

Cool experience!!! Most of the guys back then were very well grounded and would go out of their way to help someone, especially a kid!!!

He is the reason I was always such a Kawasaki fan! I'm embarassed to say but I cant remember if he rode a Honda or Yamaha at the XGames... I think it was a red bike so I am pretty sure he is riding Honda now... I know for sure it wasn't green or yellow!

We actually still have an 85 KX80! Even at my age and weight it is still a fun bike to ride!!!

I'm sure this is common knowledge but Wardy was the kid on the minibike doing the wheely in "On Any Sunday"

And as for Jeff staying in the IRL, he had a future but the IRL did not.
Don't bother me. I'm wasting potential.

That was the fattest wheelie ever on a mini-trail! I have a '71 mini-trail waiting to be restored. That was my first bike.
