Re: fuel injector
Did the engine run well at first then start running badly? Or has this been a problem since the EFI/engine was installed?
I know a little German... he's sitting over there.

Re: fuel injector
They could have been broken during installation. If it's just the plastic caps, those are available at parts stores. I think you need to get back to basics. Make sure the harness is complete, test all the sensors, find out if it's running in closed loop, etc. You may need to take it to a GOOD diagnostic mechanic to get it dialed in or at least to tell you what the problem is. It may take a couple hundred dollars and a couple trips, but I think it would be worth it.
You just need to be sure the harness is compete and that it can be diagnosed just like the stock vehicle the parts came out of would be. Otherwise he either won't want to work on it at all or it's going to cost you to have him find and repair wiring problems.

Re: fuel injector
so i replaced the fuel injectors, and idled the same, and so my dad and brother decided to take it to plaster. when we got it out there it was a new car. we toped out at 83 on the highway and had so much more power. i cant believe how much injectors can play to making it run like crap.

Glad you got it fixed, did you clean the mass air also?

Rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip.
What kind of air filter are you running? Any filter using oil/gauze to trap dirt are notorious for gunking up the mass air if over-oiled.
