    72 chevy

The other day I saw a guy driving an older Chevy p/u. It had the older trailing arm w/ coil spring suspension. The truck was alittle higher than stock. My question is. The trailing arms were under the axle, and he had like 2" blocks between the lower arms and the axle. What would the blocks be for?
    Am I missing something?
    Thanks

    Wedges to correct pinion angle.

I don't live on the edge. I fell over long ago.
