Amsoil's Scott Douglas Dominates Crandon's Sunday Morning WSORR Race with Victory
Amsoil's Scott Douglas Dominates Crandon's Sunday Morning WSORR Race Leading up to Borg-Warner Championship
FOX Racing Shox Continues Crandon Winning Streak!
Crandon, Wisconsin (August 31, 2008) - Amsoil's Scott Douglas got down to serious racing this morning here in this small Wisconsin town as he put his Amsoil/Kuhmo Pro 4 on the podium in the top spot fighting off charges from both Renezeder and Greaves. The El Cajon, California resident raced down the front stretch at over 100 miles per hour door-to-door with Renezeder as Kent Brascho jumped to an early lead in his Yates Racing powered Pro 4. However after one lap Brascho pitched the truck into the gravel pit turn in front of 50,000 fans that packed the grandstands, grass hill and VIP suites and caught on fire. Rescue crews were on scene to extinguish the fire but that sidelined the man who has had one of the fastest trucks in the field so far this weekend. Greaves then jumped to the front and lead for several laps as Douglas closed in on Greaves and made the clean pass. Greaves battled back racing at speed on the bumper of Douglas and as they both approached the gravel pit, Greaves got into Douglas that resulted in a black flag eliminating Greaves from racing for the win. Douglas head a tight line and drove hard holding off a charge from Carl Renezeder. Douglas dominated the field early this morning as the nation's top teams prepare for the late afternoon Borg-Warner Championship slated to kick off at 5:00 p.m. CST.

Re: Amsoil's Scott Douglas Dominates Crandon's Sunday Morning WSORR Race with Victory
This headline caught my attention, forgive me, I am new to posting as I had been reading for a long time, but I was at that race and to say Douglas dominated it is a bit of an exaggeration. If the greaves truck didn't get the black flag, (which was very suspicious in my opinion) there is no doubt in my mind that he would have passed douglas back. I'm not sure what happened when douglas passed johnny in the back part of the track, but i would say that douglas in no way dominated that race.

First off, welcome to RDC. Second off, I couldn't agree with you more. I was at the race as well and when Greaves hit Douglas, it looked like to me that either Douglas checked up, or he kind of lost it in front of Johnny. One thing I do know, it sure as hell shouldn't have been a black flag. Douglas kept the lead and Johnny lost a position to Carl. The black flag was kind of BS in my opinion.

Douglas passed him clean. You will see it on TV. As far as Johnny's deal in the gravel pit I do know that Johnny's front tire was 2 or 3 feet up on the back of Scott's truck.
The crew had to replace all the top rear sheat metal.
