Which Head and Neck Restraint do you use?

Mods, please leave this thread as it should be in the safety area on RDC, but if it is, it might not get through to everyone as it is an important part of information to our racing community. I am not starting this thread as a sales pitch but as a very important message for our people as readers and the racing community to be aware to wear a safety device no matter which one they choose. Yes there is a type of sales pitch to it, but it is to make everyone aware that the Leatt-Brace has their new Moto-R Head and Neck restraint device available to the off road community. Our team is now using the NEW Leatt-Brace Moto-R.

Our team was fortunate enough to pick up Leatt-Brace as a Sponsor just before the Vegas to Reno race a few weeks ago. We were fitted on Wednesday night just before we left for the race. We have been using the D-Cell for the last couple of years and was pleased with it but found that if your using a catheter, you mine as well just through some duck tape around your unit and forget about going until you get out of the race truck. You mine as well forget about looking over your shoulder to see if anyone is coming up on you when you make turns. And you mine as well take your time changing your tires unless your able to hook yourself back up without any help.

My point being that the Leatt-Brace was the most comfortable safety device our team has ever used. The mobility of our head to see without any restrictions was unbelievable with still retaining the SFI rating of 50 G's. When we got out of the truck in 15th place in Reno, I had made the statement that we were ready to go back to the start and do it again because of no fatigue on our head, neck or body do to the quality of their product.

The NEW Moto-R Leatt-Brace will be available by the end of this month and the price will be set at $695.00. A cheap price for the quality of this product and for the price of life.

My old saying while we are riding our Harley's is if you have a $5.00 head, wear a $5.00 helmet. There is no price on safety and no matter what device you all choose, they are no good sitting in the trailer because they don't fit well after you gained a few pounds after the Holiday's. Which ever you choose, please be fitted by someone that knows what they're doing. We were fitted by PCI for the D-Cell when we purchased them and they worked well then but sometime as you gain or lose weight, they change in the fitting department.

Please wear something but our team will be using the Leatt-Brace Moto-R from here on out.

R3 along with the ol' standard horse collar. I did not like it without the collar.

I tried a Dcell on just to see... I felt like " homies" were going to die.... plus I was kind of afraid of it stopping the flow of a catheter

I wear a D-cel - this is my first year with anything other than a neck collar, and it's already saved my neck a few times (tested it out - lol!). I hook it all up myself - it's not hard when you are used to it. I like my D-cel, but I also haven't tried any other systems....and I don't have...uh....any clearance issues with the lower harness area...lol!

I have used both the the R3 is 1000000000x better. Way more comfortable without having something going around your crotch! And you can still use a piss tube if you want with it. I say spend the $$ and get the R3.
