Mitzelfelt letter supports a Marine expansion to the East and away from Johnson Valle
Mitzelfelt letter supports a Marine expansion to the East and away from Johnson Valley.
Recent meetings with the Supervisor, Congressman Lewis, Senator Feinstein and the Partnership have resulted in the Supervisor's call for a de-designation of less than wilderness quality areas in eastern San Bernardino County. This de-designation would, according to Mitzelfelt, "facilitate the expansion toward an area with little conflict with desert residents" and "save the BLM's largest public OHV area for continued use."
The Partnership For Johnson Valley is excited to share this letter from San Bernardino First District Supervisor Brad Mitzelfelt on the steps being taken to retain our desert resources.

This is awesome, The more we as voters empower our County Supervisors/Commisioners to take gutsy stands like this, the sooner we'll start having more land access victories. There's a ground swell starting of rural County Govt.s asserting their historic rights over their lands and we all need to let our Counties know we support them fully in this.

Well said. 100% right on with County BOS being active in these issues.
I know for fact Kern and Inyo Counties are tired of having the feds dictate what
happens in their back yards.
This is something we can really benefit from by getting people on board
and use this letter to make some noise, This letter is worth gold, Believe me
Please everyone who reads this...Print out that letter and send it to your local
Reps, If you are in SB county, Call Brad's office and give him a high five!
HE needs our support on this,
Fax that thing to Duncan Hunter,Jerry Lewis, Even Nevada and AZ reps and beyond,
this thing will eventually go to Congress for approval.
Dont be deterred because it has the name Diane Fienstien on it, Her staff
has actually been working with us on this.

Nikita Khrushchev said"We can't expect the American People to jump from Capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of Socialism, until they awaken one day to find that they have Communism. "
