    Talking Thanks, IRC Tracking

Thanks to IRC. Making the IRC Tracking device available to us was a god send. We did not have radio contact with our crew or pit, but our family in Torrance, CA and Oldsmar, FL kept Randy updated with phone calls. The tracking device makes more sense for our local races, than a GPS.

Thanks IRC you guys ROCK!!!! Funny story....my sister and her co-dawg broke 5 miles into their 4th lap in the afternoon race when they broke an axle. They had radioed in to let us know at main pit so help was on the way. While they were waiting they heard a phone ringing, both thinking "gee who brought a cell phone???????" It was IRC checking on them and making sure that they had help coming. What a great thing for all desert races!!!!

I am the communication contact for the team racing Baja. I follow the car on IRC, but had never realized its full capabilities. It is GREAT.

What an incrediable safety system to have in our race cars. It is kind of cool to have a laptop computer as part of our teams efforts durring the race. Being able to monitor position, movement, speed makes it so much easier for the chase team. Its hard to believe that we were racing without it only three years back.

Ours died at mile 88 during the SS300, but it can happen. I agree it's a very good tool. I spend a lot of time on the phone with the crew updating them with it.
