Where to get car insurance for the baja 1000

I currently have State Farm, and they don't offer anything really. I usually stop near the border and get insurance but I thought I would check with you guys. So where is the best to get it. Thanks

Google "Mexican car insurance" and you can buy insurance online and print out your policy.

Another vote for Alex. I prefer to get it from a guy I actually know and he does a grwat job getting me coverage for trucks upgrades and Im covered in the dirt.

I talked to my state farm rep and she said they cover you upto 50 miles south of the border after that your on your own! not sure if that fulfills mexicos requirment for insurance?

Probably not. The big reason to have mex insurance is to keep you out of jail in mex.

Definitely not! You must have insurance from a Mexican company to be legal. I use Adavis in Temecula. Call 800 909 4457, use your credit card and they can fax or email you your policy.
