the HDAV cables only give you 720p or 1080i on the 360...the HDMI is suppose to give you FULL HD 1080p...i have the HDMI on mine and looks really damn good on my insignia 42" 1080p.... and PLEAAASSEE do not pay 45-50 bucks for an HDMI cable...you can get them at amazon.com for about 2.50...Don't listen to the people that say the MONSTER cables are the best and all that B.S...It is a Digital signal...so that means all the cables will give you the same effect...i personally have 2 of these and they work just fine. here is a link

Only problem is the 360 isn't really capable of 1080p, so stick with the component cables IMO, dont waste your money on HDMI
