Here's your Chance to Grab Some Bragging Rights! - DRIVE
For the DRIVE Off-Road Racing TROPHYLITE 200 on January 17th 2009
Qualifying Rounds
Any class with 7 or more entries before the cutoff date will go to Qualifying Rounds. Qualifying Rounds will be held the day before or morning of the event. Date and time of qualifying rounds to be set by DRIVE Off-Road Racing.
Course for qualifying rounds will be between 1 ½ and 2 miles and will not be open for pre-running. Vehicles will be started at 1 to 2 minute intervals depending on terrain and conditions.
If a racer can not make it to the Qualifying Rounds they will take the next available start time after the racer that qualified last based on their Starting Order Drawing position. The Starting Order Drawing will be held 1 to 2 weeks before the event
Example:
Racer A – Draws start position 1
Racer B – Draws start position 2
Racer C – Draws start position 3
Racer D – Draws start position 4
Racer E – Draws start position 5
Racer F – Draws start position 6
Racer G – Draws start position 7
Racer H – Draws start position 8
Qualifying results from fastest to slowest:
H, G, F, D, C, B, A
Racer E does not make it to qualifying rounds and will start in the 8th position.
Entries after the cutoff date will start in the next available position based on their entry date and time.
Classes with less then 7 entries prior to the cutoff date will start based on the Starting Order Drawing and will not go to qualifying rounds. Entries after the cutoff date will be started in the next available position based on the date and time they enter. Cutoff date will be the day off the Drawing.

Now we can see just how fast everone really is, or isn't. Qualifing without dust or passing on a level playing field. I love it!
No prerunning, maybe one parrade lap just before the start of qualifing?

The Mason trucks would race one of the other classes that they fit into. After researching the Mason trucks it looks like there are engine options and upgrades that make it not a true spec truck.
From what I’ve read they weren’t designed to be spec trucks so I’m not bagging on them in any way. I think they did a great job on them.
I’ll call Mason Motorsports next week just to touch base.
