thinking of building an 1978 f100 with a arm front suspension like h&m kit. does anybody know if suspension will work and is it worth it over beams? thanks.

Either way you have a lot more work into the F-100 trucks because the steering box is mounted behind the spindle and you have to mount a new box in front. If you have a lot into this truck already I would do beams, if its stock I would start with an 80 and up F-150 and use the stock box.
If your set on A-arms I would find a truck that came with A-arms and a box (never a rack) and work off the stock pivots so you will not have to experience the nightmare of doing center pivot style-“hole in your head, lose your girl friend, blow all your savings, 6 month brake from it, beat yourself up for 3 more years, take year & a half brake, get your last wind to finish this thing in under 5 years type of build.
Sorry about that, I did once and thankfully people just tell me about there nightmares now.
I usually end messages with “Hope this helps” but this time I’m going to write.
“This WILL help!”
beam it, H&M can make you a nice beam kit for it if you want

move the motor back and build a bulkhead and centermount the arms.. or put the body on a newer f150 frame and use a f150 long travel kit?
