Our 5.0 doesnt get over 215. We have a large alum. radiator and also run 2 Flexilite Elec. Fans the whole time, no matter what the temp. The fans are fully shrouded.

215 on hard pack is what we are running, but pops up on in a sand wash. at the dash we had our water temp up to 250 and same as the oil. we had to stop and limp around the track just to get a lap in.
215 220 is the hottest it will get in the sand washes. This was testing in August in Barstow. Were running EFI so truck should run a bit better, well see. It will stay at 175 - 180 in all normal, hardpack conditions.
My trans' sender was not working properly so no help on the temps there.
we got our tranny built by cuhlhane in lake elsonore and it runs around 150 to 170 max. we have 2 fluidine double pass coolers and ran the same tranny for 5 races now and have not had a problem yet. the last place we took it beforee that it got roasted in 20 miles. i suggest taking it to him. we are going to put a high voloume water pump in this week and plan on taking it out in 2 weeks to see if we fixed the problem.
