Sometimes I get no respect **Co-drivers**

I had someone the other day wanting to ride in the car for the parker race. I said NO WAY...I need my boy in there with me so I can pin out. So I thought I start this thread so people can see what my guy has to do.

My co-driver is a bad mother effer (Allen Hickerson). He's got a hard job. I don't think I could do it. He can't miss a turn or a road hazard. He has to tell me the degree of the turn, the sharpness, and whether it opens or closes if it doesnt end normal. Mind you, this all requires him staring at a gps, while on occasions going over 120 mph, going through huge whoops, or sometimes both.

As if that wasn't enough, he has to monitor all engine, tranny, and convertor functions. He has to work that in there while he's running the radios, and talking to me and to the pits....and he better not miss a hazard or turn....we might die!!

Oh ya...and if we hit a rock or get a flat, he has to jump out and change that too all on his own. Then he has to get in the car and put his impact away, put his belts on, and close the window net...all while I'm pinning it out so no one passes us. Did I mention he has to work on the car if we break??? Well...he has to do that too. Some times co-dogs don't get the respect they deserve. Mine's a bad ass!!! Just wanted to give you guys props.

Does he do the shifting too?

I was lucky enough to Ride with Bekki Wik at the last SNORE race in Ridgecrest. It was my first time being a co-dawg. Baptism by fire right. And I never realized how much there is to do. Not to mention it's like being in a clothes dryer, just getting beat. And that was a class 10 car. Well we made it to just under 2 laps and the studs broke off the left rear. So we stopped and Bekki got a ride back to main leaving me with the car. So there I was with a car I barely know trying to jack it up and remove the hub. Something I had never done before. (removing the hub that is)

So much respect to all the co-dawgs out there.
Don't bother me. I'm wasting potential.
    Life's a grave, dig it.

The last 500 I raced I had to replace my first co driver in Valle de Trinidad. cause he was throwing up. Shorlty after the radio went out. When we crossed the finish line I found out the second co Driver was throwing up too. Maybe my driving sucks! You have to have guts to sit there with no control in that right seat. Kudos to to those who help us get to the finishline.

Josh i totally agree with you co drivers are just like the crew. Unsung heros. They have alot more goin than the driver and have to put all there trust in him. All the while gettin the crap beat out of them since they really cant "feel" what the car is going to do like the driver can. Co drivers are badass.
