    Two New Goodyear Off-Road Tires

What do you guys think? I like the DuraTrac's, but am interested in how thick the tread is and how tough these tires are.

    Yeah baby!!!
I can't wait for my shipment to show up. I love my MTRs and have been told these are even better by Goodyear. Now we wait and see if they get here in time for the MINT 400.

The MTR's have an awesome looking tread pattern. It looks like it would be very functional in the soft stuff.

So no one is worried about the asymmetric tread of the MT/R? It seems to me that having to have right and left tires would be a pain. If you groove them I guess you would be left with a special tire on each corner of the car. They look like nice tires but also look like a logistics nightmare.

    I never considered that

Good point. I still like the idea of having that staggered block tread on the outside though....

Well apparently goodyear only made one mold per size.

That sure looks like a directional tire to me but it is also asymmetric. So it looks like they only made left hand side tires. Does anyone else see a problem with this? Am I the only one?

The new MT/R tires with Kevlar

    Very Nice!!!!!!
They look cool as hell in person
and seem to be a good tire

Not a very aggressive tire however they grip very well when turning, the side walls seems to grab on the ground and prevents the drift feeling when attempting a turn. These new tires appear to handle at ease over the terrain. The dont sink into ground while in the sand washes...i will say that the space in between the treads are a little farther than would like but the tire does handle well and the Kevlar is a reassurance. We will have a better understanding after the MDR KOTD 250 mile race

I think they are an awesome tire after seeing them in person! The are going to be great tires for the unlimited vehicles and if they have the strength of the GSA they are going to be flawless! We should see them at the TT 250 on a few trucks as well!
