Re: 3rd center rear seat in a F-150.......
I'm not too worried about the comfort factor in the back, after all, I'm not going to be sitting back there! As long as I can safely fit the bench in the back, I'm good to go. Be sure to post some pics of your cage in the making, I'd love to get some design ideas for my own cage.

Re: 3rd center rear seat in a F-150.......
um running the shoulder harness to the flore behind the seats is not a good Idea at all. when your body gets jolted forward, you are pulling that mild steel frame forward by the head rest. putting ALOT of stress on those rear tabs. when those rear tabs break off it is not going to be good, with the whole seat tilting forward into the dash. I see alot of buggy manufactures running the belts that way but when you think of it you would much rather have that bar right behind your neck.

I was not running the belts to the floor, but to the bar that runs across the back of the seat then down to the floor. like an upside down L

45 degrees is the max angle you want the shoulder belts to be angled down!!!

You think that's tight Scott? You should see me trying to stuff a 3rd, full-size (lowback) seat in the ranger. It fits (kinda), but it's TIGHT! Steve
