(Reaction by superstar Jimmie Johnson to the recent TORC and Crandon Raceway
announcement of 2/17/09):
"Crandon has always been the Daytona 500 of short course off-road
racing. It’s a place that I always loved racing. We always had our
largest crowds, the largest purses, the coolest trophies and by far,
the best racing. There is nothing like the land rush start into turn 1.
I am really excited for Crandon's and off-road racing's future now that
its leadership is assisted by someone who has experienced it from all
sides. My good friend Ricky Johnson will do an awesome job making
sure the balance is right for great competition, a great fan experience
and an event that gives back to Crandon and the entire off-road
community. Hopefully, I can find some free time and make a trip
back up to enjoy all that the track and Ricky's TORC Series has to
offer."

Well i have to say hats off to jimmie on his nascar success but, however heres a kid that in my opinion has took off and never looked back,he says his good friend ricky??? But come on jimmie whens the last time you took a minute or even a second to thank anyonr from offroad for giving you your start???

I wish you did pay more attention, but during studio or off track interviews, he mentions off road quite a bit, and has over his entire NASCAR career.
