Seems about 115" wheelbase would have been more attractive???

    thanks
yes a larger w/b would work better i think .the short w/b is pretty right on for the top speed of the cars they are quick in and out of things the only thing is long rollers which affect i think most cars.i originally built the first car as a rhino replacement but they were a lot faster then I ever expected and once we were going its hard to change but on that note I don't think I would change it with a few more builders building cars it will be a drivers class for sure .its going to be fun in the near future.

Kevin, the 2.2 that was used as a reference, was run as supplied from turnkey. their controller is locked, so no changes were done.
    thanx, steve humphrey.

I appreciate you letting the world know we have taken some steps back to make sure that in the end of this economic meltdown we will still be here to help our customers with their needs.yes we closed the shop but not until we finished all work in front of us .we worked hard the last 3 months paying out of our pocket to stay open to make sure we got all our customers and vendors taken care of and a customer didn't get a half done project with a large paid bill . we took care of everything.we paid our debt with our distributors and moved shop to our garage were we will still continue the work on the new C1 LITES until we can rebuild the economy and return to high overhead .by cutting overhead we can continue to stay in business for years to come and by not just leaving customers high and dry and vendors with large bills i think we can accomplish a stronger business in years to come.if you think this is poor business that is your opinion and it is a free world so that is fine .as for the teryx i don't want to scratch it i will wait until I get the new race car up and running .so have a nice day
You obviously purposely posted a dyno sheet of a race car that was not yours nor did you ask for permission, last time I checked racers don't share on the internet their dyno sheet with others. Full Potential Offroad and I have spent a lot of time along with Karl Scanlan on R & D for the 2.4L Ecotec. I don't understand when PJC asks for a dyno graph of a Turnkey 2.2L you feel it is acceptable to then post someone else’s 2.4L graph for comparison, it is my understanding that the Blackie 2.2L and maybe two other 2.2L cars are the only "Desert Dynamics" mini chassis cars you have put together. Why didn't you ask Karl Scanlan who owns the other 2.4L Ecotec Desert Lites for a graph? It seems very odd to make posts like this without permission. Does Danzio Performance post Hovey’s and Groves Dyno graphs for comparison on RDC?

I know you think the new Class 2 is going to be HUGE, so why don't you get to work on you're 2.2L Ecotec with no bypass shocks and limited axles/CV's and then add weight to it to get to the 2,400 pound minimum. I will continue with the fine F-1 Lite car that FPO built in the Desert Lites Class, and will also be putting a 2.2L in my 12 car for the new SCORE Class 4 which sounds pretty good for the longer wheelbase cars but not for the minis.

PS, Nothing about racing is affordable and/or cheap to include the new SCORE Class 2, if it was everybody would be racing!

Very impressed with the 2.4l rear wheel hp numbers. I would think it would be pretty damn close to 200 hp at the crank. Looks like someone knows what they are doing when it comes to tuning.

Robert, the 2.4L motor is a very strong package and I am very happy with it. I believe Turnkey will be offering them shortly. If you have any questions about it give me a PM.

Take it outside boys! Nobody wants to read about this fued. PM's work...

    Now back to the topic!

I have been following this from the start and I am interested in building a car. But it is weird that the rules are so different between BITD and SCORE. I really don't have major issues with the BITD rules or the SCORE rules. I have minor issues...BITD's rules: too short of wheelbase for the buggies. SCORE rules Class 2: why 2.2L motor, why no bypass shocks (could be one per wheel - internal bypass to reduce cost) and why the porky pig weight? SCORE rules for Class 4: no issues other than why not the 2.4L motor. Many have said that it will kill class 10...well class 10 is expensive and this might be a good starting point to enter class 10...so in the long run it might actually help CL 10. Older class 10 chassis with the durable and reliable Ecotec.

es not okaye if you want to race golf carts go to a golf coarse. The next thing we are going to be dealing with is that a golf cart got ran over by a race car,and for an ecotech in a class 10 car that would be cool if you wanted to race with the golf carts and go top speed 60 mph Mini mags are a thing of the past and so are these.Save your money and build a real race car the will be bueno.
