The only bummer is Score's rules are different enough to keep guys who build there cars to BITD specs from racing competitively in Score's Lites class.
maybee get a 2.2 for single seat class 4 cars with a 2.4 in 2 seat class 4 cars to eaven out the weight advantage we will see in future developments .I think for naw it is a solid foundation and it will grow . the no bypass in class 2 is to try to keep costs down also a limit to 2.5 shocks . I think in the past things have gotten really carried away with cost on cars and Bill is trying his hardest to make it an affordable class for all classes of people and also keep the competativeness . no bypasses will get a quicker fade on suspension but its the same for all .

Also has Savage said how they will inspect the motors to make sure there 100% stock? The reason I ask is TurnKey is an engine building shop. They have the resorces to inspect a motor and to be able to see if there is a cam or some other type of internal modification done to the motor. What is Savage going to do? Just P&G?

they can pump the motor just like they do in 16 and 12 cars pretty easy i wouldnt worry there theyve been doing that to the lead cars for years

That would be the P&G test. I belive that test will only show displacement. But I dont know if that test will show modified cams or head work like match porting or bench flowing. Because in 16 and 12 you can run any cam grind you want. But class 16 does have head rules. I'm sure there are a few motor guys on here who could chime in, and would know what tests would be need to do to make sure these motors are all stock.

WADR, you guys build a really nice car - I was very impressed by them again this year at Parker.

That being said, SCORE is late to this party and in the interest of "cost savings" they are limiting to 2.5 shocks with no bypass?..... There are plenty of cars/trucks already out there that meet the class rules and already have the bypass shocks. Those current cars will have to choose to swap shocks out to run SCORE. New builds will have to decide whether to buy two sets of shocks or run at a disadvantage in the other series. All I am saying is that it wouldn't kill the almighty SCORE to follow the lead of something that is already working and building momentum instead of adding their own special SCORE twist - IE: Banding the motors and changing the shock rules.

I guess it just seems to me that SCORE still tries to act like they are the only show in town.... and that is far from the truth. BITD and SNORE put on awesome shows and in a perfect world, I would like to see all three organizations work together and communicate more to benefit the desert community and racers - which is larger than any one sanctioning body.

All pipe dreams aside, this class is awesome and will continue to be even better as it continues to grow with several great companies building cars for this class.

Dont forget the two series have different wb rules also. Score is 105wb and BITD is 103wb.

But, how competitive will a truck be against a full on class 10 car with the same motor?..... Just doesn't seem like the SCoRE rules really took the trucks into consideration to me....

So very true. All the guys I am talking to about our new truck are getting out of 1600, 1200 and 7s. They all race SCORE and all want to start racing BITD. Wonder why?

In a perfect world SCORE would communicate with the racers and meet there needs. The race promoters job is to put on a race for the racers and the racers should get to race what they want! Now with so much excitement in the new 3000 class in BITD I would think SCORE would follow suit and do the same thing. Am I missing something so obvious?
