Someone correct me if I am wrong, but there seems to be a big controversy about the gun control ruling that will make it harder for individuals to get a handgun, i.e. finger printing, waiting period, background check, etc. I hear a lot of people saying that this is B.S. and it's so horrible.

I live in CA, which, I know has tighter gun control than other states, but all of this sounds like exactly what I had to do when i purchased my hand gun. I wasn't worried, and I do understand that these "safe guards" don't do anything to keep criminals from getting guns. I actually really liked the "Bulls*it" episode that Penn and Teller did on gun control, but the new regulations didn't interfere with my rights and I don't understand why people get so angry with any ruling that makes it harder for people to get guns. I understand that a gun is "dangerous" and agree that they have some precautions to sell to normal people.

I also want to comment on our local concealed firearms situation. for those living in the OC and know about Corona's previously easy process of obtaining a permit for concealed carry, you should know that now that he is gone, the new person in charge is cracking down hard--even retro-actively voiding people's permits. This I do not approve of, as that they (and any law-abiding citizen for that matter) should be able to have the right to bear arms and get a permit for CC.
