Re: Lucas save us!!!
... let me ask you a couple questions...
did sportsman teams get wristbands at perris??....................... YES!!
did all pro teams get wristbands at perris?? ..............................NO!!
... you didnt see the pro guys crying about not getting wristbands..... they just sucked it up and understand that RACING ISN'T CHEEP!! ... if it was, everybody would be doing it... but it's not!
....of course drivers get them (thats a given), but EVERYBODY pays for a wrist band and some point in time. THIS MONEY FOR THE WRISTBANDS HAS TO COME FROM SOMEWHERE... although TORC is running the series, if they GIVE wristbands to crew at races, it comes out of their pocket...... id say, be thankful for what you got

Hang in there John and other Single & Super / Unlimited Buggy racers. Believe it or not, there is a strong fraternity of buggy racers out west that feel your pain and are trying some creative things to make it better racing and open some opportunities for us all.
I'll keep you posted when there are some further developments which are coming but I want the ink dry.
In the meantime, good luck to you all at Crandon!!!

Re: Lucas save us!!!
In 2005 and prior, "Pro" entry's in CORR were $250 with 10 wristbands for crew & family. And, if you took the green flag, you would get at least half your money back.
What has changed so much in 4 years??

At least you can justify the higher cost for tv, the rest of us can't. And I don't really want to hear " just hang in there its a new owner and new series, it will get better" because this is the 5th new owner in the last 10 years, I am sick of hanging in there for it to get better.
They call our buggy class "Pro Super Buggy". I know the midwest guys are chomping at the bit to get on the track and mix it up. Should be some good racing in this class with a full field (finally.) That would make for some great TV. Somebody needs to step up and put them on TV. Can't wait to get to Crandon.
