    HELP! Advise for motor improvements!

As most know, 738 lost our motor at mile 22.8 at the MDR night race. Going to rebuild it, but want some advise from people that have "played" with 22re's. Looking to increase horse power and looking for advise on duarbility. If anyone has some info they can throw our way, please let us know........ Also, Bill Markel, WHERE ARE YOU???? Please email Perry..........we lost your phone number and Perry REALLY needs to talk to you! [email protected]

    Scribblers...
Hated to see that hood up, there was racin' to be done.....
Things about 22r's I have learned the hard way
ARP head studs - Summit racing ~ $115
Good cam - the Web Cam in mine pulls like a train
Double row timing chain w/ metal backed guides - DOA Racing or LCE
Deck the head and the block
Always have the head pressure tested - they can get intergranular corrosoin around the exhaust side and become porus. (like a sponge)
Run a tap through every hole. Measure, measure, measure and clean, clean, clean.
