Looking thru these posts just makes me thing of what a sad community we are, that a microscopic moment in time with out any harm or fail can breed such hate and speculation.
He who is without sin cast the first stone.
The damage that we are doing to his reputation is now more then if he hit a race car.
It sounds like for ace photo that no one knew this even happed until he spent time going true the photos at home days later and posted this big stink with a logo and a zoomed in shot of his face.
This thread is like road rage, you’ll get all pissed off in your car with the windows up but what do crap if you where confuted. If any you what to teach real accountability, you would do it calm, in private and to where it makes someone what to learn and grow from.
Hate on me all you what! That’s just who I am.
I completely agree.
I'd be willing to bet over %90 of us here have stepped foot onto a "track" while a race was in progress.. Yet alone driven a car one. Not saying it's right, but also not saying it's wrong.
I just wish people would get this riled up about land closures..

I'm sorry... but there is a slight bit of difference, from being on the track.. to airing the sheet out of your truck with no helmets....

He apologized. Weve seen this stuff before and worse. He was man enough to come on here and own up to it. I accept his apology as part of the racing community. Lesson learned I hope.
Fish, at least that guy wasnt going backwards on the course!

Re: DGAFer's on track..
There is a big difference between the incidental getting on the track that just about anyone who chases has done, and getting on course with your race vehicle and hitting the big jumps to impress the crowd. Responsible people try to stay off the course. If you can't see the difference, or understand why you should do your best to stay off the track instead of going for air shots, then YOU are part of the problem and really should contemplate finding a new hobby.
I will never understand why some people think the world revolves around them. It's not money based because some of the richest people I have met in our sport are the nicest and most considerate people. What is it that makes you think you have a right to do whatever you want just because you managed to build a nice 1450 truck? You have to earn respect. It doesn't come taped to a fiberglass fender.
Having the stones to publically apologize and admit the error in judgement is a way to start earning respect. Posting something nearly incomprehensible supporting the DGAF attitude is a good way to start losing respect. I'm sure that doesn't matter though, because you DGAF.

Re: DGAFer's on track..
You keep mentioning the no helmets thing.
Who cares, him, and his co-driver took that risk. Not you. He hurts himself that's on him.
Back to the track thing, being on course is being on course period. Hitting a jump that is easily reachable (hence the popularity) and a big time spectator/photog spot is no different then hitting a jump someplace else. Did anyone get harmed? Nope. Anyone hurt? Nope. Is everyone here ok? Mhmm, sure seems so. Now, if the pics showed him holding up race traffic then that's a different ball game. But they don't. Someone mentioned him racing longer more then most posting in this thread.. Which makes me believe even more that he knows the issues of driving on a race course and took that into consideration. He knows what it's like to race and get held up behind someone.. But He didn't hold up traffic, hurt anyone, run anyone over, nerf/push any cars off the course, block the course, etc.
He appologized, now leave it be.
And as far as everyone calling him a "dgaf'r".. Drop it. It's getting old people. I've never seen some dgaf'in bro kid have a truck this nice.. Well, I've seen them claim trucks that nice, but they didn't own it. Haha.

Actually If this were a true statement, My job and those of every other EMS Worker, Safety Worker, and Law Enforcement personnel that support these events would be 1000 times easier. If you look at greater than 90% of the fatal incidents that we respond to in all races over the last 10 years, you will see that it is a spectator or Chase Crew that is involved. In every one of those incidents, the various safety resources have to respond and handle it, reducing the coverage for the racers and often times, when on a "hot" race course they put themselves at risk. I have had to stablize femur fractures 3 feet from a course on a blind corner with almost no help or communication of when the next race car is coming and it was a spectator I was helping that made the choice to stand in a poor area. I strongly believe that every person that is makes choices to risk their safety, has a domino effect on everone else's safety at an event. We dont even need to discuss the backlash that shows up after a major event from the press and tree embracers. They dont care if it was a racer, spectator or the pope. It was a guy in one of those off road race desert destroyers!
I appreciate that the driver apologized and maybe will look at it differently. I beleive it is safe at this point to take the tar off boil, and keep the feathers in the bag. For him to even take 2 seconds to show initative to respond to the....well uh....lets say "concerns" shall we, shows he can learn and be responsible member of the desert community.

Nicely stated from someone who has to directly deal with this on an every race basis.

So using your logic, it's ok to steal also as long as you don't get caught? Since he didn't hold up traffic or get hurt it's ok? If you want to race, pay for an entry. If you want to jump, go jump somewhere else. What he did and others do all the time is take advantage of the race crowd to show off. He apologized which is the right thing to do. Don't defend the indefensible.
