You might want to spend some time looking at the classifieds and he can always say no or counter offer.

i looked thats 30k less than what he is asking. i can understand offering less but to call it legit, pete would have to want out really bad to take that but this whole thing is quite a mess, so an offer like that might work.

Maybe Ramsey could make a business and call it.... hmmm, Baja Racing Adventures of CA. Then Baja Racing Adventures of AZ could sell him the assets (trucks) and all of the debt and obligations of the AZ company would disappear... kinda like magic.

How often in racing do you get back 100% of your investment? Almost never. An offer of $105,000.00 is almost 80% return on investment, not bad for race cars.

Sorry I have to respond to this. Not sure who you are, or if you or have been a TL owner but here's the deal. I sold Pete his first truck. SCORE was never even discussed. Pete as far as I know, has been involved through conversation with TL/Scaroni's ever since they made TL public. I only have to say this once, so listen closely.
At the Vegas 150, all TL owners had a meeting after the racers meeting. Matt brought up the schedule for 2009, and the fact that he wanted to put the Baja 500 on the schedule for 2009. Now, let's stop for a second. If Matt knew the TL's weren't SCORE legal....why would he want to do this? Matt "thought" the trucks were SCORE legal. Period. He told us we could run SCORE races all we wanted.

So if Matt thought they we're SCORE legal and and they ended up not being able to be tagged, who do you feel is responsible ?? I am not going against you, because I remember Matt saying He wanted to run the Baja 500, but where do you think the fault should be placed ??? SCORE or Matt ??

You don't need to get so defensive. I'm not an Internet racer, monday morning quarterback. I'm not an owner, but I involved closely with TL. I'm just stating fact. I'm just saying that the TL's were never sold as SCORE legal. SCORE was never discussed until the discussion of the 09' season. Why is Matt Scaroni or Greg Foutz at fault that Pete's first truck, your old truck, is not SCORE legal. I know that the Baja 500 was a possible part of the 2009 season, but if I remember right that was before the newest chassis, with updates, was attempted to be teched for SCORE. Matt knew that his first chassis without the increased weight was SCORE legal. Nobody knew that the new heavier trucks were not SCORE legal until Pete wanted to race Laughlin.

The "Original" TL was supposed to be "able" to get SCORE tagged and that was race ready, not the "stripped" down model if you want to call it that. So as a customer, it would be safe to "assume" that they would be SCORE legal. If they were not, then why would Matt want to push the owners so much to race SCORE?
As a owner, I honestly felt we were getting screwed. Now, if I would have won the championship and the money that came along with it, sure I would have dealt with the issues.
Do I believe that the owners of the "old" style TL's should have to pay for the update, that would be no. Just because there was nothing in writing stating that the TL's are SCORE legal, doesn't take away from all of the conversations and words out of Matt's mouth.
