    Hurricane Rick...

after already being struck by Jimena earlier this year it looks like hurricane Rick will be impacting mid to southern Baja early this coming week and may even be stronger upon landfall than Jimena. As if the residents didn't need help already, this is the last thing they need...Anyone with an idea on if this one is projected to hit in the same area as the last one?

ah, found the path of Jimena...I think, unfortunately, it looks like Rick may be heading towards the same area....

Way too early to tell. Hopefully it veers off and sideswipes. What a bummer.

this thing is still pretty far away. the forecast path this far out isn't very accurate. the forecast is for landfall wed or thurs. its only saturday. we need this thing to go away so think positive.

Hopefully it only nerfs the coast and avoids just bashing Baja.

Now a category 5. Looks like it will hit just north of La Paz as a category 2 right now...

    Re: Hurricane Rick...

La paz is on the sea of cortez. the center forecast track is somewhere near Todos on the Pacific. let's not speculate. i know a lot of people who are very nervous and we need to stay positive. the forecast cone has it going onshore anywhere between Abrejojos and Mazatlan. that's a big area. we have several days before we know where this sucker is going.

Now they show the track of the hurricane heading towards Cabo. It is a Category 5 and it is the 2nd strongest Pacific hurricane ever recorded and growing stronger. They way it is swinging I might be in trouble too here in Puerto Vallarta. I guess it is time to maybe stalk up the Coronas at my house. Will be watching it very closely. I am sure glad I already have my boat out of the water.
