I wont be shy here is a couple others. Also, look at the second to last one as that is what I am asking about on flipping the rear shackle over....Does anyone else do that??? It works great for us and is much easier on leafs!
Bone the reverse shackle just reduces the need for a large arch on the spring. since the arch isnt as extreme the rear ride isnt as harsh (stiff and bucking) in theory it will reduce travel if the upper shackle mount isnt lengthened (ie 90's explorer, or toyotas) (http://www.chaosfab.com/photo/images/P1062199.jpg)

Welcome Tim Atlanta,
Don't let the smart @ass responses get to you, there is a vast wealth of knowledge here.
I have a 67 F100, it's not quite in this shape any more but this is the best pic I have.
They are great trucks to build, some other sites to check out besides RDC;

My question is why go from a 79 grill to a 80's grill and clip? 70s were way sexier.

The whole body was updated, not just the front clip. He bought it that way, and I think it was built in the mid to late 80's so it was updated to the newest body style available.
One of my Favorites!
